Ipas welcomes you to celebrate the World contraceptive day celebration

World contraceptive day celebration
Family planning is highly beneficial to overall health of women, yet contraceptive prevalence remains low while unmet need for family planning remains high. In Western Kenya, 44% of women age 15-19 have begun child bearing and only one-third of women use modern contraceptive methods .
Ipas supports the ministry of health to scale up the uptake of contraceptives among adolescents and youth in 7 counties of Kenya to help reduce the unmet need for family planning by maximizing opportunities for FP provision.

World contraceptive day celebration
World Contraception Day takes place on September 26th every year. The annual worldwide campaign centers around a vision where every pregnancy is wanted. The day is celebrated to improve awareness of contraception and to enable young people to make informIMG_20170420_172724ed choices on their sexual and reproductive health.
Ipas participation during the day
Ipas and other ASRH partners plans to support the MOH in celebrating the day in the 7 counties of our implementation. Our involvement will be towards enhancing FP services uptake among the youth.
